  • 🔗 Link: Snapchat launches "My AI", an AI chatbot powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT. My AI can be accessed through Snapchat+'s subscription service and can perform tasks like answering trivia questions, recommending gift ideas, planning trips, suggesting recipes, and writing haikus. I'm now guessing most social platforms will have their own version of ChatGPT baked into their platform.

  • 🔗 Link: Romania's prime minister unveils AI adviser called "Ion" to tell him what people think in real time. Ion's main task will be to scan social networks to inform the government of Romanians' proposals and wishes.

  • 🔗 Link: Typeface raises $65M Series A led by Lightspeed Venture Partners to build an AI-powered dashboard for drafting marketing copy and images.

  • 🔗 Link: A16z leads a $200M investment into Character.ai, to generate conversation in the style of various characters, including Tesla chief executive Elon Musk and Nintendo character Mario, from user prompts. The chatbot company was founded by Noam Shazeer and Daniel De Freitas, who previously built Google’s conversational model LaMDA. It's reached a $1B valuation in less than 6 months (!)
